This class is not required but highly recommended. This class will dive deeper on the ins and outs of running your own business, where the tattoo course will just tell you the basics.

You do not need to be a tattoo artist, but this class is centered towards tattoo artists and will give information about proper licensing in the tattoo industry; we will not be giving licensing information for any of the following: cosmetologist, esthetician, hairdresser, makeup artist, lash artists, nail techs, etc.

There is still much to learn in this course if you are not a tattoo artist but are in the service industry and either already currently run your own business or looking to start one. You will learn information about: LLC’s, insurance, business checking accounts, creating a brand aesthetic, recommended apps for branding, and so much more.

You can take this course whenever you like! As a new artist you should be focusing more on perfecting your craft, since you shouldn’t be taking paying clients right away. But taking this course right after your tattoo training will help guide you through correct licensing (so you don’t have to do it yourself) and give you good tips to start your Instagram so when you’re ready to take clients, you already have a platform.
